It’s fun to make drinks with a lot of ingredients, but sometimes you just want something simple. That’s when I reach for the Ultimate Bar book.
This Commodore Cocktail really hit the spot today. McKenzie Bourbon is aged in charred oak and finished in Chardonnay barrels.
It’s not my favorite sipping whiskey, but it’s pretty fantastic in this Commodore Cocktail.
1 1/2 oz. McKenzie Bourbon
3/4 oz. Creme de Cacao
1/2 oz. lemon juice
Shake vigorously with ice. Pour into a chilled coup glass.
