Not My Mamma’s Italian Meat Sauce

My mamma’s sauce is a labor of love and it consists of beef bone that are roasted before adding to sauce, it cooks for hours on end and the result is true happiness! This recipe is a more simple and quick way of getting a savory sauce with amazing flavors in a shorter amount of time. I will share my ma’s sauce in the future...I promise, It is something to look out for!

INGREDIENTS

2 Brown Onions Diced

6-8 Garlic Cloves chopped fine

2 Bunches Italian Parsley chopped

1-2 Bunches Basil chopped

2 15oz cans Tomato Sauce

1 28oz Crushed Tomato

1 Pack of our Housemade Italian Sausage




DIRECTIONS

Sauté onions in large sauce pot season with salt and pepper for 5-7 minutes.

Add garlic cloves to onion mixture.

Add cans of tomatoes and mix herbs into tomato and onion mixture, stir well. Cook on low heat.

Remove Italian sausage from casings and cook in sauté pan using a wooden spoon to break up Italian sausage.

Once sausage is cooked add into tomato sauce.

Let cook for at least one hour. The longer you cook this sauce the better the flavors will meld together.


Serve over spaghetti and meatballs! 😋
